Double Barreled Barley Wine

Fermented for a month in a new Missouri oak foeder, then racked to bourbon barrels for 5 months.  The foeder oak added some light vanillins before the beer dried out and mellowed in bourbon barrels at lager temperatures.  Drinks like a classic English barleywine with a bit of added bourbon and cane syrup complexity.  As dry as a saison, but feels surprisingly sweet!
