Marz has partnered with San Antonio based Weathered Souls Brewing to participate in the Black is Beautiful initiative, a collaborative effort amongst the brewing community and its customers which attempts to bring awareness to the injustices that many people of color face daily. Almost 1000 breweries are participating in this campaign to raise funds for organizations that support equality, inclusion, and social justice.
We took the base recipe for this robust imperial from Weathered Souls Brewing and put our Marz spin on it by infusing it with coconut and vanilla for a sweet and smooth finish.
Our buds at Omega Yeast generously donated their special strains to help make our Black is Beautiful beer.
Marz will be donating net proceeds from the sale of Black is Beautiful to the Chicago Community Bail Fund. The Chicago Community Bond Fund (CCBF) pays bond for people charged with crimes in Cook County, Illinois. Through a revolving fund, CCBF supports individuals whose communities cannot afford to pay the bonds themselves and who have been impacted by structural violence.
