Chela Negra is a collaboration with Chicago’s dynamic sound system (and Lumpen DJs), Sonorama, and is a tribute to our shared love of music and beer.
We asked Sonorama to design a crest on the label to embody their love for all music, but above all the vinyl format. Chela Negra is an homage to the records Sonorama plays that their preserve music while also collecting history and connecting memories with the people they encounter.
Using a blend of Vienna and dark Munich malts, we brewed this dark Bavarian lager with a bit of Perle and Swiss Saphir to boost the lager sweetness and add just a hint of mixed berry. As smooth and sultry as a 200g LP of José José played at 45 RPM.
