Kölsch beers are light and refreshing ale-lager hybrids that are perfect for warm summer days. Kölsch beer is fermented with ale yeast, but then finished in cold temperatures like a lager. The result is a style that exhibits some of the best characteristics of both categories. In addition to their thirst quenching ability, they also are a fun beer to enjoy with food, including traditional German sausages and kraut.
Marz Kölsch, at 5% ABV, is a super-clean, bright and refreshing classic Kölsch with Pure Idaho Pils and Munich Malt, accentuated with Tettnager and Saphir hops in the boil. Tettnager was used for bittering and Saphir for flavor and aroma. Cheers to Summer!
