The beep and boop nerds inside Marz Community Brewing have long had a love affair with the pitched out squeaks and squelching grunts of iconic synths of the past and future. In order to spread awareness of these ancient beasts we chose to pay tribute to one of our favorite west coast synthesizers. The Buchla music easel made the experimental highly bizarre interfaced modular synthesizer mobile and brought Cali sound to the masses.
Inspired by the Pacific Coast weirdos and sound-wave surfers we used Simcoe, Cashmere, Mandarin Bavaria, El Dorado, and Idaho 7 for a more a modern take on a west coast IPA. The result is a well balanced IPA at 7% ABV which is almost retro, like the Buchla Synthesizer. Come sail away.
